This Christmas, I was given a copy of John Urschel’s memoir, of Mind and Matter. I was already somewhat familiar Urschel. He was known as something of a peculiarity in the sports world in the 2010s: the mathematician football player, first at Penn State, and then for the Baltimore Ravens.

New TI-Nspire/TI-84 Tutorial Editions

With the start of the 2016-17 school year already upon us in some parts of the United States, I’ve just released new editions of my Kindle tutorial books about the TI-Nspire and TI-84 Plus. Since the TI-Nspire has seen a couple of updates to its operating system over the last couple of years and the TI-84 Plus CE has been released, I’ve wanted to do this for a while, but have struggled to find the time.

The Golden Ratio, is a limited edition, shiny, metallic gold finish, and Bright White is the “sleek” white that its name implies. “For us, it’s about providing the educational tools and resources to help students build a strong foundation in math and science, setting them up for success in the classroom, college, and beyond,” said Peter Balyta, Ph.

TI-84 Plus Review

Click here to see the TI-84 Plus price on eBay. Long ago and far away (in the year 2010), I did a review of the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition graphing calculator. Things have changed quite a bit during that time for Texas Instruments calculators in general and for the TI-84 Plus platform in specific. Most importantly, TI released a major new upgrade to the TI-84 Plus family, the TI-84 Plus CE, a full color display edition of the calculator designed to bring the TI-84 Plus into the next decade.

Lenovo Yoga 3 11.6″ Review

A little less than a month ago, I picked up a Lenovo Yoga 3 11.6″ 2 in 1 tablet from Best Buy. Unfortunately, this past weekend, I felt compelled to return it out of disappointment. Consequently, this will be one of the shorter reviews I’ve written. I had high hopes for this tablet. My brother has an entry level Yoga 2 tablet, and based on his experience and many positive reviews I had read, I was ready to jump in with the unique Yoga form factor.
