Casio Prizm Workshop in Chicago-land

While Texas Instruments’ T3 workshops tend to get a lot of publicity, if you are a teacher using Casio products, you should know that the Casio team is also striving to provide professional development opportunities for teachers. In particular, they are working towards helping teachers learn how to teach with the Casio Prizm (review) color graphing calculator. If you are in the Midwest and use Casio products, you should consider signing up for a Prizm workshop being held on December 10, 2011, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at Hinsdale Central High School in Darien, IL.

There are some big names taking part in this event, including Amber Branch, Casio’s National Director of Curriculum and Training and John Diehl, President of the Casio Teacher Advisory Council, so I’d expect it to be an extremely high quality event. Although you are asked to RSVP for the event, there is no cost, and everyone who attends receives a Prizm emulator for their computer.

The goal of this workshop is to help you F.I.N.D. inquiry-based, technology-enhanced mathematical methods for the 6-12 classroom with PRIZM.
